Things to do outdoors on Halloween

Halloween is one of the most opportune times to enjoy the great outdoors.  Grab your garland of garlic, your cross and wooden stake, and let’s get moving to some hair-raising adventures…

A few things you can do for fun in the great outdoors this Halloween are:

- Make a scarecrow.  Station your scarecrow underneath a large tree if possible.  As you work, you can hear the sound of autumn leaves crunching under your feet.

- Take a hayride.  The brisk autumn air will certainly set the mood for adventure!  Just beware of men with black capes riding horses. 

- Visit a pumpkin patch.  Pick out the Halloween pumpkin of your choice.  In the weeks ahead, you can use the pumpkin to create some delicious homemade pies – just in time for Thanksgiving!

- Visit a haunted house.  Be sure and take your Valium before leaving home.

- Attend a Halloween party and go bob some apples!
