MOOSE ON THE LOOSE, including
a Top 10 Litter List of clean up items on land & sea
While interacting in The Great Outdoors, we
sometimes get so caught up in the beauty and serenity that we forget
that we are staying the night in Wildlife's House.
If you're a nature lover, you're
probably appalled at items that get discarded so easily along the
trails and in the campgrounds. Chewing gum, plasticware, paper plates,
foil, empty cans, cigarette butts - and so forth. Many people that
litter are under the impression that these items quickly disappear
into the soil, but the truth of the matter is that it takes many
years before trash disappears.
Moose, deer, raccoons, possums,
squirrels - and so many other animals are on the loose through these
used lands, and when hungry, they will munch on what's been left
behind. What should we leave? Only footprints!
But for those careless Nature-Wanna-Be's
who don't, picking up behind them is one of the best things we can
do to keep nature in its natural state.
