Camping Recipe for Graham Crackers & Icing

Being young and extremely poor, these fancy crackers were fabulous for fitting the bill where a sweet tooth was concerned. Economical, easy and satisfying. You will need:

graham crackers

prepared cream cheese icing OR white icing

We were so poor that we couldn't afford the fancy icing, so we made ours from powdered sugar. Powdered sugar icing from scratch has a unique taste all of its own and it's easy to prepare. Simply add a stick of soft margarine to a small box of powdered sugar, then add a bit of milk at a time as you beat the icing. Finish off with a bit of vanilla extract.
