Halloween from a Biological Prospective,
Short
'n Sweet
How your biological makeup effects 'your' Halloween character and costume.
Think about how dull Halloween would be if everyone possessed identical genes! A single Halloween character, such as a mummy or a black widow spider, would overrun the planet. In addition, every treat would probably be the same black and orange-wrapped candy, which while I admit is quite tasty, an entire bag would be quite dull. Life wouldn't be very much fun without a little variety, now would it?
Our chemical makeup helps determine our desires. For example, if you harbor an abundance of genes for aggression, you might choose to be a Vampire on Halloween. If you are drawn to delicate things, then the Tinkerbell costume might be right up your alley.
Our appearance also plays a huge roll in the biological scheme of things. For example, if one has red hair, then the clown costume might look pretty smashing. Of course, with all the Halloween paraphernalia available in the stores today, changing one's hair color gets pretty simple.
Nonetheless, this Halloween when you're out and about spooking on the town remember that your special genes contributed to the choice of your costume! Have a safe and happy Halloween whatever you choose to do!
